From the Khaleej Times, the “Ride for Unity: 7 Days/7 Emirates” is showcased as a unique cycling event promoting unity, diversity, and sustainability across the UAE. From January 6 to 12, over 20 inspirational business leaders, pioneers, and athletes cycled through the seven emirates, engaging with local communities and participating in various cultural, educational, and environmental activities.
Sareh Ameri, managing director of Ride for Unity, highlights the event’s mission: “The UAE is a living, breathing role model of our values of unity, diversity, tolerance and sustainability.” This event included notable stops such as the Dibba Coral Life Conservation site, American University RAK, and the mangrove plantations in Umm Al Quwain. Participants also visited the Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs, cycled with Children of Determination along Kite Beach, and concluded with a gala dinner at Wolfi’s on Hudayriyat Island.
US Consul General in Dubai, Meghan Gregonis, a participant in the tour, remarked, “The whole message is about bringing people together. It’s an opportunity to meet people that I would not meet otherwise, who share a passion for bikes.” This initiative provided a platform for conversations on hope and inclusion, and plans are already underway to make it an annual fixture with potential global expansion.
